"Who knows truly? Who here will declare whence it arose, whence this creation? The gods are subsequent to creation. Who, then, knows whence it has come into being?
Whence this creation has come into being; whether it was made or not; he in the highest heaven is its surveyor. Surely he knows, or perhaps he knows not." Creation Hymn, the Rig Veda
Caesarea Phillippi is the model city. Everything is run by machines. It's been years since anyone has had to work a day in their life. Everyone is taken care of. Nobody goes hungry. Crime is just a fable. A society that worships machines, the churches have been turned into warehouses and concert halls. God is dead, and Dr. Deimos is the savior of humanity.
It was Dr. Deimos' discovery that allowed him to create this perfect society. An all-powerful artifact capable of infinite energy to power a new kind of city whose blood was oil and whose bones were steel. But is everything really as wonderful as it seems in Caesarea Philippi?
With their most basic needs taken care of, people no longer seek the intercession of the immortal. The immortal beings are beginning to feel the pangs of weakness. They are losing their power. What's worse is things may be getting worse as Dr. Deimos falls further into depravity. Holy and unholy, mortal and immortal must find a way to put aside their differences and work together if they ever hope to save themselves.
We can hear the click of the trap door opening. We are not ready for the fall. Are you?
