Eyes glittering, the sleek ebony jaguar slipped out along the cool earth. He moved quietly to his normal place, where the earth was smoothly worn stone, marked up with soot and ash from his performances. His ears flickered as a few felines recognized him from his earlier shows and dashed over to watch. "Not too close. I'm playing with fire, remember?" He meowed firmly, waiting until the onlookers took a few steps back before laying out a circle of dried grasses. once finished, Commander carefully positioned his tools and flicked his paw several times, lighting a thin, dry wooden rod on each end. He held the rod firmly in his jaws, pushing his firelighting tools off to the side with his hind paw.
He touched the flame to the circle of grasses around him, watching the gathered crowd's eyes widen in awe as the flames licked up toward the sky around him. Smiling to himself, he began his show. His paws were soft against the ground as he spun and twisted about, slicing through the dark night sky with his fiery baton. As he moved about, he noted that a few of his audience members looked bored. Of course; they'd probably seen his act a million times. Time to kick it up a notch. He lashed his tail through the bright flames, quickly enough so as to light the tips of his fur on fire. The flames only survived for less then a fraction of a second, though, as he slammed his tail upward into the sky, throwing the flames free in a burst of sparks. He rose onto his forepaws, with his haunches in the air, waiting for the finale...
With an eye-catching burst, the flames shot up several feet higher as they caught the far more flammable substance beneath the grasses- fireweed. Smoke began to billow up around him as the flames caught onto the fresh grass beneath the fireweed, and he was masked from the crowd. Dropping onto all four paws again, Commander pressed himself against the ground, waiting. In the final seconds of the fire's survival, Commander reared onto his haunches, flinging his now entirely aflame baton into the sky, then leaped up after it, over the dying embers of his fire and out of his dancing circle. He snapped his jaws shut around the baton as it's flames died, and then landed smoothly on the ground, lowering his head and foreleg in a regal bow.
Dipping his muzzle, Commander acknowledged the crowd and murmured a few words of thanks before returning to the circle, gathering his burnt kindling and scuffing out a few charr marks on the stone. His ears twitched as he flicked his tail around, making sure that the fur wasn't burnt at all. "The last thing I need is a burnt tail." He growled to himself, gathering his tools up. Once he was finished there, he moved to his ivory bowl, checking to see how much his show had gotten. Apparently, everyone had liked his circle of fire, as he'd made quite a profit.

Siri could feel the writhing and entwining bodies of others as they glided all around. The night was alive and well. The very soul of music and life sprouted from this very place. There were ribbon dancers, singers, fire dancers, and entertainers alike. Bringing everything into harmony causing an up roar of dancing and livelihood.
Illuminating the bazaar were blazes flying off the stick held firmly within the jaws of a black fire dancing jaguar. The stunning aura surrounding him and the feats he was performing all made Siri the more interested. Her sapphire optics gazed across the stage, noticing the charred remnants of past performances. She shouldered her way through the growing crowd, getting up and close towards the stage. Just feet from the fire that she feared. But the enchanting glow made her want to stay. She put aside the panic, replacing it with wonder. His performance was wondrous, never had she seen such an act like it before. This was her first night in a place even like this. She just wondered how she could have ever lived without this place before. It called to her, this place was like a heaven on earth, or at least the closest thing anything living could call there own Nirvana. Siri cheered and let out inspirational calls, this was her kind of thing. Her dream coming to life right in front of her. Dancing was her calling all along. The lights, the crowds called for her talents. Hidden away all these years. She knew what she wanted to do.
However the performance had come to an end. Her mouth gaped when he flung up into the air and landed on the ground. A hard thud on the stage floor as the flames went out, the chars blowing across her face. Like a torrid draft from the hot desert. She watched the jaguar thank the audience for watching and coming to his show. It began to settle down now as everyone scattered. But she was yet to leave. No, she wasn't about to leave. Siri wanted to personally compliment it performance, for it was the best she had seen.
Slowly but surely she padded towards the stage, stepping up onto a nearby stone to get onto a better level with the stage itself.
"excuse me!," She called. "excuse me! if I may have a moment of your time! i'd like to say your performance was exquisite, the best I've seen anywhere!"
