This wasn't a trip of fun and smiles, however. Ren was here to see her mother. She hadn't seen her mother since her death, of course, and she didn't even know where to look. Her blue gaze scanned the grave stones on the unforgiving and cold ground. So many, she thought. Ren might be the only one to ever visit the cemetery, but she couldn't help it.
She sighed and started her rounds looking at each scribble of names. They were hard to verify, but Renekke could faintly see the names of the deceased. She came to one. "Alle.. Alleio," she sounded out. She shook her head and kept moving. Then she found one. She had a sense in her gut that it was her mother's. She squinted, trying to read the writing some worker scribbled on the stone. Her eyes widened, and she took note of the placement of it. She sat down, tail curling around her front paws. She looked down at the stone, imagining the face of her mother. She smiled. "Momma," she whispered, "I miss you. Life here is okay. They made me replace you. But only I know you're irreplaceable." A tear slid down her cheek as she remembered a memory she was fond of. It was a happy memory, when she was growing up.
Ren stood and looked up at the skies. "Why!" she exclaimed. It was meant for the gods. Why did they have to take her mother away? She knew she wouldn't get much of an answer. She sighed and placed her gaze back on the stone. "I love you, Ma. I'll come back soon, I promise." She turned.
She knew it was about time to go back to the palace. Princess Grace wouldn't be happy with her once she found out she had gone. Surely she would understand. . or maybe not. Grace was royalty after all. ________________________________________________________ Words; 325 Notes;

Zuri, Unknown to this territory, Walks through a Forlorn place. Taking a glance at every grave; wondering how they died. If it was a happy death or a horrible one. Of course, rarely ever is a death happy. Zuri sat down in the middle of 2 graves and starred up at the sky wondering how her mother was doing up there. Her mother died giving birth to her. Zuri blames herself even though others tell her not to.
Zuri's ears flickered as she hear a yell coming from ahead of her. She glanced between the cracks of 2 graves and saw a black and white feline. She was a white tiger; Pretty creatures.
She padded through the maze of graves to get a closer look at what the tiger was saying. It seemed as though she was yelling at god for taking a life. who's life? She didn't know yet. Creeping closer and closer to make out the words she was saying. Momma,I miss you. Life here is okay. They made me replace you. But only I know you're irreplaceable. Zuri could see a tear roll down the side of her cheek. brought tears to Zuri's eyes. Must be really sad. There was more though. Why!Why did they have to take her mother away?I love you, Ma. I'll come back soon, I promise. The tiger turned. Zuri stood up in surprise. She felt guilty for eavesdropping on the female. But all Zuri could do was sit there in Silence. She didn't know what to say; For she did indeed know what it felt like to lose a mother. But she was worried about how the tiger would react to her presence.

She blinked in surprised and looked down at it. Her ears flicked. The feline must have been eavesdropping on her, yet she didn't care. How much of that had she heard?
Ren swallowed. "Umm. . Hi. I'm guessing you heard all that, right?" She looked over her bulky shoulder and glanced at her mother's grave. She sighed and turned her blue gaze back to the lynx. She gave her a shy smile. "I'm Renekke," she said, lowering her gaze, "Princess Grace's slave." My mother's replacement, she thought but didn't say.
She wondered what the lynx would do. Would she alert the guards that she was gone? Would she lead her back to the palace? Ren felt as though everyone was against her nowadays. Everyone watched her with an unpleasant disgust, and made her feel worthless. But she never let her feelings overwhelm her. She kept her head held high, despite her true feelings. Plus it didn't help when nobody had ever seen her before. Her mother kept her hidden from the rest of the city throughout her life, afraid that they might take her away and put her in service. Unfortunately, she was found that night, the night of her mother's death. ________________________________________________________ Words; 214 Notes; Sorry for the short post :\ In a bit of a hurry.

The white tiger looked at her. Zuri stood up in embarrassment. but she could only stair at her. Umm. . Hi. I'm guessing you heard all that, right? Zuri did feel bad for listening to it. Sorry! i did hear it, Not that much though! i just got here!, Zuri said shuddering. She took a deep breath and looked down. I'm Renekke, the female stated. Princess Grace's slave. When Zuri heard that her eyes widened, but she tried not to make it noticeable.
Hi, My names Zuri. I uh, Im sorry i was eavesdropping on you. It wont happen again. I just heard somebody talking and listened. But as you were talking. It kind of reminded me of my life. Not the whole replacing thing, but Losing your mom. I lost mine as well. And i can only wonder why, at that moment in time. Why did she have to go. I never get an answer though. That thought always sticks in my mind, Zuri exclaimed. Nice to meet you by the way.
Zuri tried to give a slight smile to warm things up a little bit. it might not help much, but she tried. She kept thinking about how she was the princess's slave. She wouldn't be cruel enough to turn her in, or make her go back. Of course she couldn't make her do anything. Renekke was down there for a reason and she wasn't about to interfere with that.
After all. she wouldn't be too happy if she found out that somebody had been eavesdropping on her and heard all of what she had to say either. Zuri really appreciated the way she was calm about it.

She seemed to be hyper, or something. Ren sighed. Perhaps the guards wouldn't notice her missing for a while. Maybe she could stay, and learn about this lynx a bit more.
Renekke sat down on her haunches. "Don't worry about it." Her body rumbled lowly as she started purring. She was content. She knew the lynx was surprised by her being a slave, but at least made an attempt to cover it. It was also good to know that she more than likely wouldn't turn her in for it, even if she could probably be paid. Ren rolled her eyes. Paid for bringing the slave back.
The content purring stopped as Zuri mentioned her mother. Ren's ears flicked and she peered down at Zuri. "Well, Zuri. I'm sorry to hear that. So, how did she..uh..pass, if you don't mind me asking?"
Renekke lowered her gaze, imagining the sight as if it were happening right around her. "My mother died when she got really bad sick. She didn't have any slight freedom like I do here at the palace. No, she served a cruel man. One that brought me here, to serve the royal family. He thought I could replace my mother." Ren's ears fell back against her crown, and she tried to meet the gaze of Zuri. "And now you know why I was talking back there." ________________________________________________________ Words; 254 Notes;
