Appearance Jacque is quite the handsome cougar. with his pulled out snout, colored brown, with his cheeks a cream in color, and the area under his chin also the same cream in color, as well. Jacque is a rather average sized cougar. He has large paws, and long, rather lean legs, and a fairly slim, but muscular form. Giving him the speed that is typical of his breed. Jacque also has a few scars, two run down each of his sides, and there are two scars on his front left leg. He typically has brightly colored paint covering these scars, even though they have long since healed and have nearly vanished into his light brown pelt, except that they are covered by darker brown fur, and are fairly noticeable. Jacque likes running, and he prefers being an artisan to the assassin that his father wants him to be. Strengths Jacque excels at walking silently, arranging his large paws carefully to stalk silently. But, mostly he excels at carving, capturing a lot of detail in his carvings. Weaknesses Jacque's main weakness is choosing between his life as an artisan and his father's wish for him to be an assassin. His main weakness is his father, as he is afraid of disappointing his father, and making his father mad at him. Personality Jacque is a rather quiet cat, he doesn't speak to anyone unless he is selling a piece of art, or something of the sort. He is friendly, once you get past the fact that he won't just openly talk to you, but you'll have to force him to talk. A lot, in fact. It isn't difficult for Jacque to make friends, no, not exactly. It's only difficult for him to make friends due to the fact that he doesn't talk to anyone, really, unless he is absolutely forced to. Jacque is a bit tortured and cautious, afraid of his father coming after him, and spooking a bit at only the softest paw steps. He's cautious and careful, but he can be friendly and loving, at least, Jacque can be once you manage to crack him out of his frightened, protective shell. Secret Ambitions To become an expert artisan, and to forget about his father, and his training to be an assassin. History Jacque was born to a young, naive cougar. Her name was Jenny. He was one of two cubs born to her. Himself, and a brother, Jason, although Jason was stillborn. Jacque's father didn't even stop by until long after they had been born. Jacque's mother struggled to keep Jacque, and herself fed for a while, they were middle class, and his father gave his mother money to keep them afloat. only Jacque's mother didn't want to use Jacque's father's money. So they suffered through, only using the money when they had to. Jacque's mother was a artisan, every day, the cub would sit beside his mother and watch her work. Until the day that his father returned. The cruel male came sauntering in, and Jacque's mother freaked. Jacque cowered in the corner of their home, terrified of the scarred male. But Jaques father was cruel. He pushed Jacque's mother away, and grabbed Jacque by the scruff. Taking him deep into the forest. And so, Jacque's training began. Leon explained the trade to Jacque, slightly, and then he began training the dreamy, artistic cub to be a coldblooded killer. Leon slashed at Jacque, at first, Jacque Coward, and dodged. But then, something seemed to snap within the small cub. And he began fighting back. Slashing at his father. Lunging, fighting back. Exactly what his father had hoped for. Every night Leon returned the cub to his mother, sometimes bleeding, always battered, and down trodden. After months of hard training, long, deep wounds began to appear. Jacque's mother covered, taking Jacque to the healer and saying that he had been playing, or something of the sort. But she was always grim about it. And the healer grew curious. Jacque mastered his training at the age of two years old, not exactly the cold blooded killer that his father had to hoped him to be, but a success, none the less. But his father didn't know about the drawings he practiced, directed by his mother. He was silent about that, keeping it away from his father, and always erasing the hints of it before his father came around. Jacque's first assassination came a few months after his mastering of the training. It was an elderly tiger, for some tiger who wanted the inheritance at that very moment. Jacque was silently accompanied by his father. They longer. Killing silently and carefully, erasing their scent with mud. Carefully. Jacque's father left after that, having finished his training, and taught his son all that he knew. Checking back, every once in a while. Jacque went back to his mother, learning from her, to paint, and to carve, mastering it, and enjoying the artwork, eventually getting his own place in the bazaar. But Jacque, despite his mother's nagging, continued his work as an assassin, mostly in fear of his father, mostly. Working carefully at that job, but mostly focusing on his art. And, also, learning how to artistically paint over his scars so it looked fitting, instead of aggressive and frightening. So he fit in, more or less. And he didn't draw attention to himself. ♫ it's a wind-torn world we live with the leaves of shattered glass and the sky with burnished blood and all the promises here are made to be broken ♪ |
